City of Refuge is currently in contact with many Pakistani asylum-seekers in Thailand.

Pakistan has a long history of persecuting minorities, making it one of the worst countries for Christians. Due to serious persecutions, many Christians have fled to Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. However, the Thai government does not recognize refugees and reserves the right to jail any persons with illegal entry/stay. These persons are sent to the Immigration Detention Center (IDC). This BBC documentary describes the experience of being in IDC in Thailand.
