City of Refuge helps churches rescue brothers and sisters in Christ who suffer because of their faith.
We are a non-profit ministry under the oversight of the Free Reformed Churches of North America. Our mission is to encourage churches to consider the needs of refugees with compassion in light of 1 John 4: 11, “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

The book of James challenges and inspires every church to examine their actions both corporately and personally. The way we love our neighbors is a response to God’s love for each of us.
City of Refuge supports churches who sponsor vulnerable Christian families.
Many believers are facing real struggles, hardships, and persecution only because they love Christ. Through Christ’s love and Biblical direction, City of Refuge responds with compassion to help refugee families to safety and security. We seek to serve the Lord by identifying persecuted Christians and facilitating their resettlement in Canada so sponsoring churches can receive, love, and care for them.
